The 2022 D3 STUNT National Championships will take place at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio from Saturday, April 30 through Sunday, May 1.

The Terriers, by virtue of their 6-3 regular-season record, enter the national championships in the first season under Head Coach Brittany Powell as the No. 2 seed and will face the No. 3-seeded Concordia Chicago Cougars in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament.

The No. 1-seeded Alma College Scots and the No. 4-seeded Olivet College Comets round out the four teams competing in the D3 STUNT National Championships this weekend. The No. 1-seeded Scots enter the national championships with a 9-1 record, while the Cougars stand at 4-6 and the Comets at 3-5.

The Terriers opened the 2022 campaign at Alma, falling to the Scots, 21-2, before reeling off four-straight wins over Olivet, Concordia Chicago, and Muskingum.

Following a mid-week, non-conference contest at Ashland, Hiram STUNT wrapped up the 2022 regular season with a doubleheader split at Concordia Chicago, bouncing back from a close, 13-12, defeat to top the Cougars, 10-6, in game two.

"We have an incredibly talented group of athletes this year, and we are really looking forward to our second nationals appearance," Powell said. "These athletes have worked hard all year and I'm excited for everyone to see what this group is capable of."

This season, the Terriers have been led by a trio of returning College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) All-Americans in sophomore base/tumblers Nina Casalandra, Grace Domabyl and Abigail Ries. The trio enters the 2022 STUNT National Championships in a three-way tie for the Terriers' highest-ranked player.

A pair of freshmen, base/tumbler Brianna James and flyer/tumbler Alli Hoffman, round out the Terriers' Top-5 ranked players, with three right on the heels: junior back spot Amaya Butler, sophomore flyer Julie Le-Quay and freshman flyer/base/tumbler Alli Welsh.

Hiram makes its second-ever appearance at the D3 STUNT National Championships, after finishing third in 2021.

"I'm proud of the work everyone has put in to get to this point," Powell said, "And no matter the outcome, we've had an incredibly rewarding season."
