Ashonti Wright were named to the 2021 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the IWLCA on Tuesday.
"I am extremely proud of the work these women's lacrosse student-athletes put in on the field and in the classroom," Head Coach
Arianna Kreush said. "To have multiple team members qualify for national honors is what we strive for in our program. I see Angie, Ashonti and Gabby put their time and energy into excelling in the classroom, which makes us better as a whole! I'm very excited for them to receive this honor."
This year, the IWLCA honored 918 student-athletes from 189 different institutions on the 2021 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Hiram women's lacrosse will open the 2022 season on Saturday, Feb. 19 when they travel to Grove City, Pa. to take on Grove City College.
