ALMA, Mich. - May 2, 2021 – Hiram College STUNT wrapped up their 2021 season with their first-ever appearance at the D3 STUNT National Championships on Sunday, falling in their opening match to the No. 3-seeded Olivet College Comets, 11-6, before dropping their final match of the day against the No. 1-seeded Alma College Scots, 21-0.
 
GAME 1: Olivet 11, Hiram 6. After a back-and-forth first quarter, the Terriers and Comets stood tied at 2-2 heading into the second. However, Olivet shutout Hiram in the second quarter, earning a pair of points to take a 4-2 lead into the halftime break.
 
Coming out of the half, both Hiram and Olivet earned points in the third quarter to make it a 5-3 game, before the Comets added another point to extend their lead to 6-3 heading into the fourth.
 
Both teams earned two points in the opening round of the fourth quarter, as the Comets maintained their three-point lead.
 
 The Comets then extended their lead with a point in the second round, before the Terriers earned their final point of the match in the third round. However, the Comets equaled Hiram and earned one more, finishing off their 11-6 victory.
 
GAME 2: Alma 21, Hiram 0. The Scots got off to a hot start against the Terriers, taking all four points in both the first and second quarters to take an 8-0 lead at the half.
 
Alma kept things rolling in the second half, extending their lead to 12-0 at the end of the third quarter, before wrapping up the 21-0 victory in the fourth.
 
The Terriers finish just their third season of STUNT competition with a 4-2 record in the COVID-19 shortened campaign, and their first-ever appearance at the D3 STUNT National Championships. Hiram completed a undefeated regular season, their first in program-history, to advance to the first-ever D3 STUNT National Championships at Alma College.
