HIRAM, Ohio – October 30, 2021 – Hiram men's soccer dropped their final match of the season, 2-0, vs. Ohio Wesleyan on Charles A. Henry Field at Malmisur Stadium.
Despite 12 shots in the first half from Ohio Wesleyan, the visiting side was unable to find the back of the net. Hiram had four shots as the teams entered the second half scoreless.
Hector Gomez notched the first goal of the match giving OWU a 1-0 lead in the 51
st minute.
Jason Martinez and
Joseph Suarez each put shots on goal within two minutes of each other in the 67
th and 69
th minute, but couldn't score.
The Battling Bishops doubled their goal total with a goal from Drew Doza in the 85
th minute making it 2-0.
Ohio Wesleyan finished the match with 27 shots with nine of them being on goal. Hiram concluded with seven shots and three shots on goal.

Joseph Suarez and
Aaron Muldrow all had shots on goal for Hiram. Martinez finished with the highest total of any Terrier with two shots.
Senior
Shelby Edwards made seven saves in goal for Hiram. The senior has now moved into the top ten in program history for most saves in a career with 175 total.
Hiram finishes the season 3-12-2 and 1-8 in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play.
