BEREA, Ohio - October 23, 2021 – Hiram Terriers swimming & diving wrapped up day two of the Baldwin Wallace Fall Duals on Saturday at the BW Natatorium, with the women picking up a 104-25 win over Ursuline College.
On the men's side, the Terriers fell to the Yellow Jackets 132-33, while the women fell to Baldwin Wallace, 136-41. With the two wins over the weekend, the Hiram women move to 2-3 on the year, while the men drop to 1-2.
Both squads got day two started with the 400-yard medley relay, with the women's team of
Adrianna Klepper,
Lilly MacDonald,
Elena Rinaldi and
Carlee Lisser earning a third-place finish.
Up next in the 400-yard individual medley, Hughes pulled in a third-place finish with a 4:57.63 time, while Lisser earned a second-place finish with her 2:12.99 time in the 200-yard freestyle.
Rinaldi then placed in the 100-yard butterfly, earning third with her 1:08.68 time, while Sauter won the 50-yard freestyle with his 23.44 time.
Up next in the 500-yard freestyle, Lisser earned a third-place finish, while
Carrie Robinson set a new personal record with her 7:34.07 time. And Gear then wrapped up his day with a new personal best in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:53.12 time.
Finally, both the men and women reached the podium with second-place finishes in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with the men's team of
Vincent AhSam-Kreiter, Sauter, Gear and Hughes setting a new personal best.
After a week off, Hiram next travels to Wilmington, Ohio for a dual meet against Wilmington College on Saturday, Nov. 6 beginning at 1 p.m.
