BEREA, Ohio - October 22, 2021 – Hiram Terriers swimming & diving picked up one win on the first day of the Baldwin Wallace Fall Duals at the BW Natatorium, as the women defeated Ursuline College, 104-25.
On the men's side, Hiram fell to the Baldwin Wallace, 122-26, while the women fell to the Yellow Jackets, 118-28.
The Terrier women opened day one of the dual with a third-place finish in the 200-yard relay, swimming a 2:09.99, before
Carrie Robinson made the podium with her 15:35.20 time in the 1,000-yard freestyle, good for third.
On the men's side,
Landon Hughes earned third place in the 200-yard individual medley with his 2:14.63 time, while
Dayne Sauter finished second in the 100-yard freestyle at 51.60 and third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.67.
Carlee Lisser paced the Terrier women, with a second-place time of 59.77 in the 100-yard freestyle and a third-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, coming in at 3:02.00.
Sauter paced the men with his second and third-place finishes, while the women wrapped up day one with a 10:52.21 time in the 800-yard freestyle relay, good for third.
Hiram will be back in action against both the Yellow Jackets and Arrows on day two of the Baldwin Wallace Fall Duals on Saturday, Oct. 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
