Hiram Men's Basketball Drops Road Contest at DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - February 7, 2020 – The Hiram Terriers men's basketball team opened their two-game road trip with a 94-67 loss to the DePauw University Tigers on Friday at Neal Fieldhouse.

After trading buckets over the first two minutes to play, DePauw used a 15-2 run to open a 19-6 lead with just under 12 minutes to play in the first half. The Tigers led by as many as 34 in the first half before taking a 54-27 lead into the locker room.

And though the Terriers equaled the Tigers output in the second half, the first-half deficit proved to be too much to overcome as DePauw picked up the 94-67 victory.

Sherman Dean III led the Terriers with 20 points and four steals, while Brodgie Gordon added 18 points and four assists.

Hiram shot 39.7 percent and just 14.3 percent from three, while the Tigers shot 60.0 percent from the field and 60.7 percent from beyond the arc.

The Terriers will look to bounce back on Saturday, Feb. 8 when they wrap up their road trip in Crawfordsville, Ind. against the Wabash College Little Giants at 2 p.m.
