Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind. – January 4, 2020- The Hiram College women's basketball team dropped a 94-45 North Coast Athletic Conference road contest against DePauw, Saturday afternoon.
DePauw (13-1, 5-0 NCAC) came into the game ranked eighth according to D3hoops.com.
The Tigers were able to grab the lead early, outscoring Hiram in double-digits (17-7) with 4:31 in the first quarter, DePauw ended the first frame leading 22-9.
DePauw grew their lead to as much as 16 (30-14) in the second stanza before Holzman hit a basket to cut the Tigers' advantage to 14.
The host closed out the frame with a 9-0 run to grab the 39-16 lead at the break.
The Tigers would maintain the scoring momentum opening up the third quarter with a shot (41-16) from Claire Keefe.
DePauw outscored the Terriers 27-15 in the fourth quarter, cementing their 94-45 victory.
Hiram will return to the court on Wednesday, Jan. 8, as they travel to Wooster. The matchup with the Fighting Scots is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
