Terriers Close 2018 at Ohio Wesleyan

The Hiram College football program finished the 2018 season at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers had a tough time getting the offense going throughout the afternoon, posting just 241 yards as Hiram fell 40-12.

The Bishops tallied the first 31 points of the afternoon, scoring seven in the first quarter before adding 24 in the second.

Hiram posted their only score in the half on special teams, as freshman AJ Daniels housed a kickoff return, going 95 yards for six points.

The kick return touchdown by Daniels was the first by a Terrier since Tevin Weaver in 2013.

Overall, Daniels helped the Terriers with field position throughout the afternoon, averaging 29.7 yards per return on six total attempts.

The Terriers added their final TD of the game as Rodney Myers tallied a second-best, 22-yard run in waning minutes of the afternoon. The touchdown by the junior QB capped a 10-play, 99-yard drive.

Myers, who came in to spell starting quarterback Randy Tucker, finished the day with 103 yards passing while adding 55 on the ground.

His top target was senior Luther Fortson III, who finished the game with 102 receiving yards on eight catches.

Senior Isaiah Jones led the Terriers on the ground, notching 60 rushing yards. Despite not finding the end zone in the game, Jones finished the season with 11 rushing TDs, coming just two shy of the school record.

Defensively, Horace Johnson and Isaiah Azubike each finished with 10 stops, while Glenn Rushing came away with an interception.
