Volleyball falls to Kenyon 3-2

GAMBIER, Ohio- The Terriers dropped a 3-2 loss against the Kenyon Ladies on Saturday afternoon.

Hiram falls to a 10-5, 1-3 NCAC record, while Kenyon improves to a 13-5, 3-1 NCAC record on the season.

Senior Marissa Jay (Parma, Ohio/ Padua Franciscan) led the Terriers on the offensive end, recording 24 kills and a .082 attacking percentage. Senior Laura Kelly (Massillon, Ohio / Jackson) and juniors Grace Wilson (Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls) and Jessica Fontana (Thompson, Ohio / Ledgemont) each added nine.

Senior Claire Maier (Huntsville, Ohio / Indian Lake) dished out 49 assists to go along with seven digs and two kills.

On the defensive end, senior Megan Schaefer (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria) recorded a team-high 36 digs. Her performance was also a new season-high.

The Terriers will return to action on Thursday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. when they face Geneva (Pa.) in a nonconference matchup at home.
