Box Score MEADVILLE, PA. -- The Hiram College volleyball team remained unbeaten in North Coast Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 win against Allegheny (Pa.) College in Meadville, Pa.
Hiram (14-6, 4-0 NCAC) defeated Allegheny (8-13, 1-3 NCAC) in straight sets by the scores of 27-25, 25-12 and 25-11.
Two Terriers finished in double digits in kills with freshman Marissa Jay (Parma/Padua Franciscan) leading the way with 19. All-NCAC junior Jennifer Yardas (Moon Twp., Pa./Moon) was second with 11 kills. Fellow All-NCAC junior Tierra Moore (Canton/Canton South) set up the offense with 33 set assists and also recorded a team-leading three service aces.
On defense, junior Regina Zyle (Cleveland/Beaumont) led the team in digs with 21, followed by Jay with seven digs. At the net, sophomore Logan Brewer (Barberton/Manchester) led the team in blocking with four solo blocks and one assisted.
Hiram will travel to Rochester, N.Y. for a tri-match hosted by the University of Rochester. The Terriers will first play a non-conference match against Earlham (Ind.) College at noon, followed by a matchup against Rochester at 2 p.m.
