Volleyball Defeats Baldwin-Wallace College in Straight Sets

BEREA, OHIO – The Hiram College volleyball team defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 3-0, tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 14) in a non-conference match at the Lou Higgins Center in Berea.

With the win, the Terriers claimed their fifth straight victory and improve to 6-4 overall. The Yellow Jackets fall to 8-2 overall.

Hiram jumped out early winning the first set by the final of 28-26. The Terriers then took a commanding 2-0 match lead with a win in the second set posting a score of 25-20. In a heavily contested third set, Hiram prevailed by the final of 33-31 to complete the sweep and record its fourth-straight three-set victory.

Hiram will host the Hiram Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 16-17 at Price Gymnasium. The Terriers will play two matches on Friday, beginning with a non-conference matchup against Kalamazoo (Mich.) College at 3 p.m., followed by a match against the University of Mount Union at 7 p.m.
