With the loss, the Terriers now have a 26-8 overall record. The Tigers improve to 31-3 overall and receive the NCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Wittenberg defeated Hiram by the scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-23. The Terrier offense was led by senior All-Region outside hitter Shaina Bryan (South Euclid/Brush) with seven kills. Senior middle hitter Katie Rumora (Canal Winchester) was second with six kills. Senior setter Taylor Summerfield (Warren/Howland) tallied a team-leading 16 set assists.
On defense, Hiram was led by Bryan with 14 digs. Freshman libero Regina Zyle (Cleveland/Beaumont) was second with 13 kills and junior outside hitter Ariel Pund (Macedonia/Walsh Jesuit) added 10 digs. Senior All-NCAC middle hitter Andrea Kaminsky (Canton/GlenOak) had a team-best four total blocks (four assists).
Following the tournament, Rumora and Summerfield were named to the All-Tournament Team.
