Buxton made history as the first ever female student-athlete to take a snap in Hiram football history. The senior from East Canton, Ohio drilled an extra-point in the Terriers’ home opener this past Friday against Mount St. Joseph, giving her team its seventh point of the game.

Buxton joins a growing list of female student-athletes to play collegiate football in recent years. Some other notable examples include kicker Sarah Fuller (Vanderbilt, 2020) and safety Haley Van Voorhis (Shenandoah, 2023), with Katelynn Everett (Hiram, 2023) also having a spot on the roster alongside Buxton this past season.
