Kyle Martini

Martini ’25 is set to begin his first season as head coach of the Hiram men’s volleyball program following a historic playing career with the team from 2023 to 2025. In just three seasons, all of which saw him serve as a team captain, Martini earned three First Team All-Conference selections and was Hiram’s first ever recipient of the PAC Scholar Athlete Award.

Martini finished his career ranking second in Terriers program history in kills (834), first in kills/set (3.04, min. 100 sets), fifth in service aces (59), fifth in digs (480), second in solo blocks (71), fourth in block assists (116), fourth in total blocks (187), second in points (1,022.0) and first in points/set (3.73, min. 100 sets). The Hiram Athletic Department named Martini the winner of the Donald Campbell Award in 2023-24, which is given to the outstanding male athlete of the year.

Beyond the individual accolades, Martini spearheaded the Terriers to a 44-39 record over his three seasons, which included an AMCC Tournament title and the program’s second NCAA Tournament berth in 2024. This past season, the team went 16-11 and advanced to the semifinals of the PAC Tournament before falling short to second-seeded Grove City.

Prior to Hiram, Martini competed as a standout member of the Penn State University club volleyball team. He transferred to the Terriers roster ahead of the 2022-23 year.

Martini graduated summa cum laude from Hiram College this past spring as an Integrated Social Studies major with minors in both History and Political Science. He also was a member of the Garfield Center for Public Leadership.
