Makrancy begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Terriers in 2026-27 following a sharpshooting playing career at Hiram College over the last three seasons. The Findlay, OH native also competed collegiately at Marietta College before transferring to the Terriers in 2023-24.
Makrancy stands alone as Hiram's all-time leader in career 3-point percentage, shooting a remarkable 46.4% (103-202) on shooting attempts from beyond the arc. He averaged 8.0 PPG over 62 games played (37 starts), and notably tallied a career-high 25 points and seven 3-pointers in a road contest against DePauw in February 2025. Those seven 3-pointers are tied for the fifth-most in a single game in Hiram program history.
Makrancy earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing from Hiram College in May 2026.
