Amari Stafford

Stafford enters her second season as an assistant coach the Terriers' women's basketball program. Stafford joined the Terriers from Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. where she played four seasons of women's basketball for the Stars.

Over four seasons at Dominican, Stafford, a team captain, appeared in 103 games, making 94 starts for the Stars, averaging 7.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Stafford shot 34.1 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from three, helping the Stars to three-straight winning seasons over her final three years at Dominican, as well as Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) semifinal appearances her junior and senior years.

Throughout her collegiate career, Stafford also spent her summers in the gym, serving as an AAU Basketball Coach most recently for M14 Hoops Basketball in Aurora, Ill. beginning in March 2020 and The Truth Basketball in Wheaton, Ill. from 2017-19.

Off the court, Stafford was a member of Dominican's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Black Student Union and worked in the Stars' athletic department as a Fitness Center Supervisor and Event Staff Member. 

Stafford earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Dominican University in May 2020 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies at Hiram College.
