Dustin Porter

Dustin Porter is entering his second season as head coach of the Terriers wrestling program and fourth season with Hiram College overall after beginning with the program in 2022. His first year with the program was highlighted by a third-place finish in the AMCC and three all-conference award winners and his second year saw the team make strides in its final year in the AMCC. In 2024-25, he spearhead the program in its return to the Presidents' Athletic Conference. The Terriers finished the season with a fourth place season at the PAC championships. Lewis Deloach, Jimmy Thomas, and Jaden Bell all finished with all conference selections, with Bell coming one win away from a PAC championship. 

Porter previously served at Lake Erie College from 2017-22 as a volunteer assistant coach. He also was an assistant at Tiffin University (2011-17) and Gardner-Webb University (2010). Tiffin had 18 NCAA Division II National Qualifiers while Porter was on its men's wrestling staff.

Porter hails from Burton, Ohio, where he began his wrestling career as a two-time state qualifier at Berkshire High School. He went on to compete at Division I Gardner-Webb University (Boiling Springs, NC) beginning in 2006, where he was a four-time Division I National Qualifier and a four-time East Regional Champion with the Runnin' Bulldogs.

In 2010, Porter graduated from Gardner-Webb with a bachelor's degree in business.
