Hiram, Ohio – October 19, 2026 – Ayub Salad of Cross Country and Kayla Weisenberger of women's golf were selected for this week's edition of Terriers of the Week. This comes after impressive performances by each student-athlete which led their respective teams.

Salad had an outstanding day on Saturday at Oberlin's Inter-Regional Rumble, leading his team with an 80th place finish in a field of over 20 different teams. Salad would post a time of 30:18, which is a huge new personal best in very muddy conditions. Salad would beat his old personal best by over three minutes, marking an outstanding race on Saturday. The freshman from Columbus, OH will look to continue his impressive form in Hiram's next meet, when they will travel to Youngstown, OH for the PAC Championships.

Kayla Weisenberger had an impressive two-day performance at the PAC Fall Championships last Monday and Tuesday, leading the women's golf team with great back-to-back performances each day. Weisenberger would open the Fall Championships on Monday, where the sophomore from North Olmstead, OH would shoot a 103 in the first round. Weisenberger would follow up the first day with a score of 113 on the second day, which would make her score 216 across both days. This score of 216 (+72) was good enough for 42nd place at the Fall Championships, marking an impressive finish for the sophomore.  Weisenberger and the rest of the women's golf team will return to action in the spring, when they look to continue their momentum off of their impressive fall season.
