HIRAM, Ohio - September 17, 2025 - Hiram women's soccer showed off its powerful offense in a commanding 5-0 victory over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford at Henry Field on Wednesday evening.
Bella Simmons and Jada Neal did harm to the Panthers defense, as both scored two goals on the evening. Simmons fired up the offense early, scoring in the 13th minute on an assist from Kasey Kelhoffer. Shortly after, Simmons would find Neal on a beautiful cross from the corner, with Neal impressively shooting the ball through the net without taking a touch, putting the Terriers up 2-0. Neal, who led the team in shots taken entering play, would break through to score her first career goal.Â
Hiram's offense found success breaking out in the open field, as Ava Little and Neal would both find the net off assists from Alyssa Rice and Becca Devericks respectfully. For Little, her goal in the 38th minute also marked the first of her career.
Perhaps the most impressive goal of the night would come when junior Reagan Mory's shot just missed the top-right corner of the net, but Simmons was right there on the put-back to finish off the Terriers' five-goal night, which marked the program's most goals in a single game since the 2021 season.Â
Goalkeepers Madie Kennedy and Summer Satterfield combined for five saves on the night, as the Terriers backline would allow just eight shots with five shots on goal.Â
Hiram returns to the field on Saturday, when it travels to Oberlin College. Game time is at 1 p.m. at Fred Shultz Field.Â
