HIRAM, Ohio - December 5, 2025 - Hiram men's wrestling dropped its home opener to Thiel, 37-10, on Friday evening inside Price Gymnasium.
Despite the loss, the Terriers still had three different student-athletes earn a win against the PAC rival: freshman Taveon Moss (125 lbs), sophomore Jackson Bowers (157 lbs) and freshman Dino Longo (197 lbs).
Moss kicked off the home dual by beating EJ McCarthy by decision (7-4), a back-and-forth bout that swung in Moss's favor late. The first-year was coming off a fifth-place finish at the BW Invite.
Bowers also fought through a tough bout, beating Anthony Ceriani by decision (9-6). It marked Bowers' fourth victory on the season, which ranks third on the team behind only Moss (11) and Will Brodbeck (seven).
Longo capped it off with a win by major decision against Trenton Mead (19-6), earning his team four points toward its final score. Longo now has three victories on the young season.
The Terriers have a quick turnaround, as they will next compete in the Ohio Northern Invitational on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Ada, OH.
