WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania - January 18, 2025 - Hiram dropped three duals on Saturday at the Jim White Duals on the campus of Washington & Jefferson, as the Terriers lost to W&J, Mount St. Joseph and Marymount in a trio of tough duals.
The Terriers filled all but two weight classes throughout the event, with the group of Ian Fuentes (125 lbs), Will Brodbeck (141), Jackson Bowers (149), Kaelon Lawson-West (157), Seth Holt (165), Jimmy Thomas (174), Jaden Bell (197) and Eddie Powers (285) all gaining valuable experience against competition that figure to make some noise in NCAA Regional meets later in the season.
Freshman Jackson Bowers highlighted the day, picking up a win by technical fall (15-0) over Mount St. Joseph's Javon Harrison. Bowers also lost by sudden victory against W&J and by major decision against Marymount in what turned out to be three entertaining bouts.
Senior Seth Holt and also hung strong during the event, with none of his losses coming by fall. He notably lost by just one point to W&J, with Jimmy Thomas also doing the same in a lost by decision against the Presidents.
Hiram will continue through its schedule against PAC competition on Thursday, when it travels to Latrobe, PA for a dual against Saint Vincent at 7 p.m.
