SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - February 7, 2024 - The Hiram women's basketball team fell to Wittenberg, 83-35, on Wednesday evening on its trip to Springfield.
Maddie Rakestraw was able to lead Hiram in scoring, as she put up 9 points while shooting 50% from the field. Brooke Hickman led Hiram in rebounds with eight, while also recording two blocks and one steal.
The Tigers took control of the game early, as they had a 24-point lead going into the second half. Wittenberg was led by Jazmyn Gaines-Burns, who had 15 points.
The Terriers will be at home for their next game this Saturday, as the program celebrates Senior Night to honor Rakestraw and Anastasia Lawler. Hiram will face Ohio Wesleyan University in Price Gymnasium starting at 4 p.m.
