DELAWARE, Ohio - February 16, 2024 - The Hiram men's wrestling team continued its preparation for the Regional meet on Friday, falling short of victory to Ohio Wesleyan (42-12) despite a standout performance from Will Brodbeck. Full results for the meet are linked here.
The sophomore picked up a win at 149 lbs, beating the Battling Bishops' Joe Connor by fall 95:48) to score Hiram 6 of its 12 points. The team jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the dual thanks to Ian Fuentes' win by forfeit.
Also competing hard in the dual was Nathan Westinghouse, who lost by decision (4-1) in a tightly contested matchup against Gabe Bulugaris. Seth Holt, Jimmy Thomas, Zach Harper and Eddie Powers also jumped in on the action against the OAC opponent.
The Terriers will next compete in the NCAA Central Regional at Ohio Northern University on Friday, March 1. More details for the event are still to come and will be made available at hiramterriers.com
