HIRAM, Ohio – December 13, 2024 – The depth of the Hiram roster was on full display on Friday night at Price Gymnasium, as three different student-athletes picked up victories and another four won by forfeit as part of a 36-16 win over Muskingum. FULL RESULTS HERE.

The victory gives Hiram its first dual win of the season and a lot more to look forward to in 2024-25 under head coach Dustin Porter.

Ian Fuentes (125 lbs) began the evening with a win by forfeit before freshman Lewis Deloach added to his strong debut season with a win by decision over Joseph Slatzer (12-8). The Terriers jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead, with the home crowd already rising to its feet in the early stages.

Jackson Bowers followed up his first-year teammate with a come-from-behind win by decision over Aiden Johnson (13-7). Bowers trailed in the bout early on before finding his form and holding on for yet another win.

Kaelon Lawson-West and Seth Holt both earned wins by forfeit before Jimmy Thomas fell short against the Fighting Muskies' Rugby Meza (major decision, 14-1). Another two forfeits followed and Scotty Edwards closed out the dual with a win by fall over Michael Hopson, who was making his collegiate debut.

Hiram will have another dual next Wednesday against Waynesburg; the action is slated to start at 1 p.m. from Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse in Waynesburg, PA.
