GREENCASTLE, Indiana - January 27, 2024 -Â Hiram came up short Saturday on its trip to Indiana in a loss to DePauw University by a final score of 68-38.
Hiram was led by junior Brooke Hickman, who ended the game with 19 points and 6 rebounds while shooting 9-14 from the field. Hickman also led the team in blocks (1) to add to a nice day.
Hiram first-year Sam Volpe made her presence felt with 5 points in 11 minutes off the bench, while Anastasia Lawler and Ava Mory both had 5 points.
DePauw was able to take control of the game early on, as they led Hiram by double-digits in the first quarter and eventually all the way through the end of the game. Depauw was led by sophomore Lily Huntzinger, who scored 10 points and collected 5 rebounds for the Tigers.Â
Hiram women's basketball will next be at home for a conference matchup against The College of Wooster, as both teams look to make strides toward the conference tournament next month. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday inside Price Gymnasium.
