HIRAM, Ohio - February 27, 2022 – Hiram STUNT defeated the Olivet College Comets, 11-1, on Senior Day on Sunday inside Price Gymnasium in their first home match of the year.
 
Opening the match with possession, Hiram took the lead from the get-go, winning the opening round with Partner Stunt 1.
 
Neither the Terriers nor the Comets earned a point in the second round, before Hiram added to their tally in the third round, winning Partner Stunt 2 to take a 2-0 lead after one-quarter of play.
 
The Terriers kept things rolling in the second quarter, winning two-straight points of pyramids and tosses and headed into halftime with a 4-0 lead following a pair of double-forfeits.
 
Olivet picked up their first point to open the second half, winning Jumps and Tumbling 1, but Hiram bounced back to win the next round, Jumps and Tumbling 2, and take a 5-1 lead into the final period.
 
Hiram then reeled off all three points in the opening round of the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 8-1, before finishing off the period with another three points in round two, winning all six points in the final frame to finish off an 11-1 victory.
 
With the win, Hiram moves to 2-1 on the year, while Olivet drops to 0-1.
 
The Terriers next head to New Concord, Ohio on Saturday, March 26 for matchups against host Muskingum and Olivet beginning at 10:30 a.m.
