HIRAM, Ohio - December 3, 2022 -Â Hiram remains perfect at home, adding another win tonight versus Mount Aloysius. The Terriers started slow in the first half where Mount Aloysius started the game up 7-0 in the opening minutes of the first quarter.
As the game went on, big plays were made by key players in the Terriers lineup like (0)
Taylor Valaitis, who ended the first first quarter with 8 points, giving the Terriers the lead going into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, Mount Aloysius seemed to take advantage as they continued to light it up from three to give them the lead going into the half.Â
It was in the second half where the Terriers shined; Hiram never slowed down in the second half and continued to push the ball as the game progressed.Â
This resulted in foul trouble for Mount Aloysius, as the Terriers took advantage and hit 10 free throws in the half to seal the deal.Â
It was a huge game for many players on the Hiram women's basketball team, as the team was led by (20 )
Brooke Hickman with 17 points and 15 Rebounds as well as huge efforts by (0)Valaitis, who helped Hiram win with her effort in both halves. She finished the game with 15 points and 7 rebounds while shooting 7-8 from the free-throw line.Â
