GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania - November 16, 2022 - A busy week for Hiram began with a 33-19 loss to Thiel College on Wednesday, the first of the team's dual meets this season.

Five different Terriers picked up victories on the evening, including the first win of the season for Kaelon Lawson-West. The sophomore won by major decision over Landon Mead in the 157-lb weight class, 12-4.

Alex Savering got the win at 141 lbs by decision against Jake Alberts (8-5), while Jimmy Thomas pinned Greg Roae at 174 lbs (5:59). Wrapping up the evening was Devan Welch (285 lbs), who pinned Jacob Traupman (2:24).

Will Brodbeck also won in an exhibition during the event, pinning Austin Parker in the 141-lb class (3:58).

Ian Fuentes (125 lbs), Corey Casterline (133), Seth Holt (165) and Zach Harper (197) fell short in the dual meet.

Hiram continues play with the Albion Invitational on Sunday at 12 p.m.
