The Hiram Women's Soccer team battled hard in the first half, before Wooster ran away with a 6-0 win on Tuesday night, October 18th. The Terriers stymied the aggressive Fighting Scots attack in the first half, allowing just one goal on a penalty kick in the 27th minute. It stayed 1-0 Wooster at halftime. Hiram was able to match an impressive 12 shots on goal from the Fighting scots, with nine of their own.
It began to get away from the Terriers quickly into the second half, thanks to a goal off the bench from Charlotte Sefcik in the 47th minute. In the span of 10 minutes, the Scots were able to score two more goals on two corner kicks. The goal scoring did not end there for Wooster, as they continued to aggressively attack the Terriers. The Fighting Scots were able to score twice more, before the remainder of the game stalled at 0-6, Wooster. The Scots amounted an astonishing 19 shots in the second half, adding up to 31 total for the game. The potent offensive attack of Wooster was too much for Hiram to overcome.
The Terriers will return home on Saturday, October 22nd, when they greet the Kenyon Owls, at 4:30 PM.
