HIRAM, Ohio - April 2, 2021 – Hiram College Athletics is excited to announced an updated spectator policy for outdoor athletic events, and welcome a limited number of off-campus spectators, effective Saturday, April 3, 2021.
 
"Our athletic department and senior cabinet have continued to evaluate policies and procedures on a weekly basis during the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand that there is a balance between maintaining a safe environment with regard to the virus and providing student-athletes with support in their endeavors," Director of Athletics Todd Hibbs said. "We believe this is the right time to institute this new policy for guests at outdoor events, but the health and safety of our Hiram College student-athletes, coaches and staff is our highest priority and we expect that everyone will consistently comply with all aspects of the stated policy."
 
Beginning Saturday, April 3, each Hiram College student-athlete on the participating team can invite a maximum of two outside guests to each of their outdoor contests. Guests will be required to adhere to Hiram College's campus masking and social distancing standards, masking over their nose and mouth at all times, from their arrival on campus until departure.
 
This updated spectator policy applies to Hiram College outdoor athletic contests only. Off-campus spectators are still not permitted at Hiram College indoor athletic events.
 
Guests will be expected to social distance in their seating areas, are to remain distance from all team members and Hiram staff while on campus and are not to approach anyone on the team before or after the contests.
 
Guests will also not be allowed in any buildings on campus. Outdoor, portable toilets will be provided at Charles A. Henry Field, Fishel Field at Proverbs Park and Myrtis E. Herndon Field.
 
Any potential guests experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days, in quarantine or having tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days should also not attend.
 
This also does not apply to visiting team members. There are no visiting team spectators allowed at any of our indoor or outdoor, home athletic events this spring.
 
All Terrier home games will still be live-streamed and will be available on-demand on the Hiram College Network at team1sports.com/hiram.
