MacDonald helped the Terriers to their best finish as a program at the 2022 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships since 2010, swimming six personal bests and one season's best, including setting a new program record that fellow Terrier Carlee Lisser smashed just minutes earlier. MacDonald swam a 1:05.70 in the 100-yard individual medley to set a new program record, and added five Top 15 finishes, twice finishing as high as 16th.
