Sauter helped the Terriers to their best finish at the 2022 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships since 2010, swimming five personal bests, including a new program record in the 100-yard individual medley. Sauter earned six Top 25 finishes and four Top 20 finishes, including his best finish, 15th, in the 100-yard individual medley where he set a new program record with his 56.16 time.
