Sauter won two events in the Terriers' season-opening meet against Chatham, placing first in the 100-yard freestyle, 50-yard butterfly and helped Hiram to a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay as well. Sauter's time of 26.70 in the 50-yard butterfly also placed sixth on the Terriers' Top 15 times list.
