Fernandez had a career week over three games this past week against Heidelberg and Saint Vincent (doubleheader), raising his batting average to a team-high .513 this season thanks to three straight multi-hit performances. Fernandez recorded at least one extra-base hit and one RBI in every game, including his fourth career home run with the program (first this season) in a four-RBI game in Game 1 against the Bearcats. The junior finished with a .583 batting average (7-for-12) with two doubles, one home run and seven RBI in a span that saw the Terriers go 2-1.
