Koces was spectacular on the mound on Thursday, when Hiram battled to the final innings with the No. 4-ranked Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. Koces went 6 innings, giving up eight hits and allowing just one earned run, while striking out four and not walking a single batter. The right-hander's performance kept Hiram in the game all the way until the finish.
 
Koces held the potent Yellow Jackets offense to their lowest run total since March 29 vs Wilmington, a game they also won 4-0.
