Volpe stood out at the Marv Frye Invitational on Saturday, posting a mark of 11.10m in the shot put, which was the sixth-furthest mark in the field of 28 student-athletes. The first-year then performed even better in the discus, finishing third with a mark of 37.49m (123'), which set a new Hiram outdoor program record.
