Bates won the 60-meter hurdles at Mount Union Collegiate Tune-Up, posting a time of 9.90 to finish atop a field that featured student-athletes from Mount Union, Otterbein and Grove City. Bates’ time of 9.66 in that same event at the Tiffin Open on Feb. 10 currently ranks 23^rd in the Great Lakes Region.
