Bates won the 60-meter hurdles at Mount Union Collegiate Tune-Up, posting a time of 9.90 to finish atop a field that featured student-athletes from Mount Union, Otterbein and Grove City. Bates’ time of 9.66 in that same event at the Tiffin Open on Feb. 10 currently ranks 23rd in the Great Lakes Region.
