Smith is making her mark in the early stages of the indoor season; she previously established the program record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Toy Drive Invite in December (10.10) before racing her way to times of 9.76 (prelims) and 9.75 (finals) this past Saturday at the Spire Midwest Open. She finished 9th at the event.
