Gavin Cruser recorded the first Hiram safety since the 2019 season on Saturday against Ohio Wesleyan, sacking the opposing quarterback in the end zone to give Hiram a 9-7 lead in the second quarter. The sophomore linebacker would later record his second interception of the season late in the fourth quarter, which gave Hiram the ball in a one-possession game.
