Feb.2-HIRAM, Ohio- The Hiram College women's swimming and diving team fell 175.5-79.5 in their last home competition of the season against Franciscan, Saturday afternoon.
Junior Jenna Nelson tallied the first Hiram victory of the meet in the 200-meter freestyle clocking in at a time of 2:29.43. Nelson was one of the top performers of the afternoon placing first in the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter
breaststroke with 32.33 and 1:24.67 times, respectively.
Freshman Carlee Lisser made her mark on the meet with a victory in the 400-meter freestyle (5:02.13) and the 100-meter IM (1:19.19). Lisser also swam a second-place time in the 50-meter backstroke 37.88.
Hiram also scored key runner-up performances from sophomore duo Nicki Prentler in the 100-meter backstroke (1:30.10), and Angie Ross in the 100-meter butterfly (1:30.61).
The Hiram swimming and diving team will hit the pool on Wednesday, February 13 for the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet will be held from Wednesday, February 13 through Saturday, February 16.
