HIRAM, Ohio – October 15, 2019 – Hiram Terriers women's soccer dropped a conference matchup against the College of Wooster Fighting Scots, 2-0, on Tuesday at Charles A. Henry Field.
After the Terriers and Fighting Scots traded shots over the five 10 minutes, Wooster held possession midway through the second save.
Ally Green made a pair of saves in the 31st and 32nd minute on shots by Mila Zunich and Claire Davis, but Zunich later found the back of the net with just over 13 minutes to play in the first half, giving the Fighting Scots a 1-0 lead.
Hiram held Wooster scoreless the right of the first half, but the Fighting Scots quickly got back on the scoreboard to start the second. In the 56th minute, Mackenzie Goltz converted a penalty kick to extend Wooster's lead to 2-0.
And while Hiram racked up four shots in the second half, including a couple on goal from distance, Molly Hutter kept the Terriers off the scoreboard to give the Fighting Scots a 2-0 victory.
With the loss, Hiram drops to 3-11 (0-3 NCAC), while Wooster moves to 8-2-2 (1-1-1 NCAC) on the season.
Hiram will next host the Oberlin College Yeowomen on High School Visit Day on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Charles A. Henry Field.
