October 27 – SPRINGFIELD, Ohio- The Hiram College women's soccer team finished their 2018 campaign, playing to a 0-0 draw against Wittenberg University on Saturday evening.
The Terriers finished the season 2-14-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Despite the host holding an 8-5 advantage in shots, the game was knotted 0-0 at the half.
The second half was a silent one with Hiram adding four shots in the frame.
In the 83rd minute, junior Val Lauderback made the final attempt from the Terriers to end the match, but the shot was stopped by the Tigers' keeper sending the game into overtime.
After two additional periods, sophomore Courtney Wendel posted the lone shot with the attempt going just wide of the net.
Offensively for the Terriers, freshman Kaitlyn Harris led the way with four shots, including one on net. Sophomore Hannah Ward and Lauderback tallied a pair of shots on goal, with the other attempts on net coming from sophomore Sam Minor.
Junior Ally Green had a solid performance posting her first shutout of the season, saving all three of the shots she faced.
