Women's Soccer falls short in 1-0 loss to Rochester (Mich.)

HIRAM, Ohio - The Terriers outshot the Warriors 10-5 in the match, but Rochester (Mich.) was able to defeat Hiram 1-0 on Wednesday night.

Hiram falls to 3-6-1, 0-2 NCAC on the season, while Rochester improves to a 6-4-3, 1-0 NAIA record on the season.

The only goal of the night came about two minutes into the match when Rochester's Emily Hall beat out Hiram goalkeeper Alina Mille (Medina, Ohio/ Medina) in a one-on-one battle. Mille played the entire match and finished with three saves.  

The Terriers had numerous attempts to tie the match, but the Warriors prevailed and took the 1-0 victory away from Hiram.

Rochester (Mich.) held a 6-5 edge over Hiram in corner kicks.   

The Terriers will play next on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. when they face DePauw (Ind.) in a conference matchup.
