March 19-ADRIAN, Mich.- The Hiram women's lacrosse team fell 15-4 to Adrian College, Tuesday afternoon.
The Terriers were held scoreless for the first twenty minutes of action with the host Adrian going on a 6-0 run.
Hiram responded in the last nine minutes with junior Alexis Hirsch scoring the lone goal of the first (6-1).
The Bulldogs would go on to tack on three more goals before the break to take a first-half 9-1 advantage.
Fresh out the break, junior Christina Belleza scored the second Terrier goal off a free position shot (9-2).
A minute later, Adrian's Gwyneth Carlson scored back-to-back goals, before Annie Rice and Olive Stevens pitched in a goal apiece to stretch the Bulldogs lead to 13-2.
In the remaining time, both teams added a pair of goals to end the final score 15-4 in Adrian's favor. For the Terriers Hirsch and senior Katelyn Slomovitz, each tallied a goal.
Hiram will return home on Saturday, March 23 to take on Westminster (Pa.). The matchup is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
