April 11- HIRAM, Ohio- The Hiram women's lacrosse team fell 15-4 to Ohio Wesleyan, Wednesday afternoon.
The Terriers tallied the first goal of the game, as senior Alyse Gillentine knocked one to the back of the net off an assist from junior Katelyn Slomovitz with 19:27 in the first.
OWU responded with a three-point run to grab an early 3-1 lead.
Senior Sierah Ray collected her 49th goal of the season on an unassisted shot to put the Battling Bishops in reach by one (3-2). Ray is just one goal shy of becoming the second player in program history to score 50 goals in a single season.
Two minutes later, Gillentine scored her second goal of the half to tie the game (3-3).
The Terriers were outscored 12-1 over the remaining minutes, giving the visiting Battling Bishops the 15-4 victory.
With 10:39 remaining in the game, Gillentine scored the lone Terrier goal of the second half, offensively pacing Hiram with three of the four goals.
Hiram will get back to work on Tuesday, April 17 as they travel to Wooster. The matchup with the Fighting Scots is scheduled for 7 PM.
