Osgood scores team leading 20th goal as Women's Lacrosse battles Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio -- Sophomore Autumn Osgood (Fairfax, Vt./Lamoille Union) scored her team leading 20th goal of the season, but the Hiram College women's lacrosse team fell at Ohio Wesleyan 19-1 on Friday evening.

The Terriers are now 3-8 overall and 0-5 in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops improve to 4-8, 1-3.

Osgood's goal came with 17:01 remaining in the game. She has now recorded a goal in nine of Hiram's 11 contests this season.

OWU scored 10 first half goals to take a 10-0 lead and scored the first five of the second half to open a 15-0 advantage, before Osgood's goal.

Freshman Rachel Metcalf (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) made 10 saves in goal for Hiram.

Senior LeAunna Martin (Akron/Ellet) and junior Rebecca Goetz each led the Terriers with three ground ball pickups, while Osgood posted a team-best five draw controls.

Hiram will continue its three-game road swing, when it takes on Oberlin on Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m.
