Women's Lacrosse drops road contest at Rhodes (Tenn.)

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Junior Rebecca Goetz (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) scored two goals as the Hiram College women's lacrosse team fell at Rhodes (Tenn.) 22-2 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Terriers drop to 1-2 on the season, while the Lynx remain perfect at 7-0.

Goetz's two goals now give her a team leading six on the season.

Rhodes scored the first two goals of the contest, before Goetz took a pass from junior Hannah Schaefer (Kent/Roosevelt) and found the back of the net at the 23:45 mark of the first half.

Goetz also scored with 13:02 remaining in the game. Sophomore Kayla Jenkins (Solon) recorded the assist on the play.

Freshman Rachel Metcalf (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) made six saves in goal for Hiram.

Hiram will close out its four-game road trip on March 18, when it travels to take on Division II foe Walsh at 5 p.m.
