Chris Kibler Steps Down as Hiram Men’s Basketball Head Coach

HIRAM, Ohio - January 10, 2020 – Hiram College Athletic Director Todd W. Hibbs announced on Friday that Chris Kibler has stepped down as head coach of the Terriers' men's basketball program due to personal reasons. Kibler was in his sixth season as head coach, having also previously served three seasons as an assistant coach with the Terriers.

Assistant Coach Kyle Jefferson has been named interim head coach for the Terriers. Jefferson is in his third season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Terriers. Jefferson joined the Terriers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he served as a youth program basketball coach.

Previously, Jefferson also spent a season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Basketball Club 16U team and served as the freshman boys head basketball coach at Aurora High School for the 2016-17 season.

The Terriers are next in action when they host the No. 2-ranked Wittenberg Tigers on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Gymnasium.
